EFT (Tapping) & Hoʻoponopono

Kathryn is a trained EFT practitioner who incorporates EFT as a valuable calming tool for the nervous system within her sessions. She has discovered that the combination of EFT and the "Hoʻoponopono" technique—a traditional Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness—performed at key points in a client's progression, facilitates some of the deepest emotional releases and integrations from past traumatic experiences for her clients.

EFT, or Emotional Freedom Techniques, is rooted in the ancient principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It operates by unblocking emotional energies using the body's meridians, which are energetic channels. This process involves gentle tapping on specific acupressure points while focusing on a particular stress or aspect of concern. By complementing this technique with breathwork, EFT helps regulate the nervous system and facilitates the release of deeply held emotions associated with past traumatic experiences and memories.

As an emotion (energy-in-motion) begins to release, it is not uncommon for various memories to surface, along with emotional and physical sensations within the body. This phenomenon occurs because tapping effectively engages the subconscious mind, enabling the release of deeply ingrained patterns. While these experiences are typically brief, lasting only a few seconds, they hold significant value as they provide insights into the subconscious origins of specific behavioural patterns. This awareness paves the way for further exploration and release of these memories, emotions, and any negative content at a deeper level.

Great for: releasing stress and anxiety, negative thought patterns, traumatic memories of past events.
