What is Inner Landscaping?
Inner Landscaping was founded by Kathryn Yeung-Pei Riley. It offers a one-to-one psycho-spiritual counseling program that incorporates energy work, meditations, visualizations, discussions, and exercises. This approach encourages you to explore yourself as a multi-dimensional being (mind, body, and spirit) and introduces you to a broader, universal perspective of yourself. From this expanded viewpoint, change becomes inevitable.
Each session focuses on uncovering and dissolving self-limiting beliefs that are no longer helpful or useful in your life, making room for the new. This process involves slowing down, understanding the origins of your thoughts and beliefs, tuning into your body (somatic sensing), and discovering resources in the present moment to help you let go. These practices are rooted in ancient and traditional knowledge systems that have contributed to health and wellness for thousands of years.
Every session unfolds in a dynamic and highly personalised manner—no two sessions are identical, and each session is ultimately guided by your deepest desire for personal growth.
‘Unresolved past is destiny; it repeats.
Integrated past is presence.’
— Thomas Hubl
Working with Ancestral and Collective histories
Sometimes when you face a difficulty where suffering brings up strong emotions, the process of inner landscaping requires you to go beyond your individual experience and to investigate your ancestral and collective histories. This knowledge supports both you and your families to release and to heal. We are a continuation of all that came before us, and as such, are strongly influenced by the social and political belief systems of our childhood and of our ancestors. Because of this, when encountering a challenging situation, you can’t always see or know consciously what is the cause and therefore best path forward with equanimity. You may feel blinded, a victim to what is happening to you, overwhelmed, distant or numb. Family, relationship or work life may feel separate as if you are in 2D. Energy in your body can feel overcharged or depleted. You may even experience unusual dreams and an unsettled nervous system.
For all clients presenting with these kinds of symptoms, sessions will target specific exercises and meditations to uncover ancestral and collective histories.
